Art made for your life

The Art Blades project started with a big stack of my grandfather's old saw blades. I explored many processes and techniques developing this project. In the end most blades get a dip in the electrolysis tank followed by a light coat of paint but some are so clean no electrolysis is needed.

The blades then get laser etched at high detail with a design fitting the medium. After a through cleaning the pieces get a final coat of clear gloss or satin.

The are used blades but they are SHARP ENOUGH TO CUT YOU! Please use care in handling and placement.
